Recognize the rhythm by ear. Practice a few letters, check each answer, and return to the sounds you missed.

Make it your practice.

Custom set & speed

Lower spacing speed gives you more time between characters. The rhythm inside each letter stays at the character speed.

Listen. Recognize. Repeat.

Choose a set and start a short round. Hear each letter, type your answer, then check it. No account needed.

A short round is enough to start.

The starter set contains E, T, A, N, I and M. E is a dot and T is a dash; the other four introduce two-mark patterns. Press Start, hear the character, type a letter or digit, and check your answer. Replay as often as you need.

Each answer counts once. A wrong answer reveals the correct pattern before you move on. Your score and missed characters are saved after a complete ten-question round.

Practice what you actually confuse.

Choose all letters, numbers, or a custom set such as KMRS. The missed-character mode uses mistakes saved from completed rounds, limited to the set you currently selected.

Repeat a small set until its sounds feel familiar, then add more characters. This page provides flexible drills; it is not a full automatic Koch course or a radio qualification test.

Two speeds, one clear rhythm.

Character speed controls the dots, dashes and pauses inside each character. Spacing speed controls the longer pauses between characters and words. Lowering spacing speed while keeping character speed higher is called Farnsworth timing.

A single-character question has no gap between letters, so its sound is affected only by character speed. The spacing setting becomes useful when you choose Groups of three, or play the example below.

No login is needed. Completed-round totals and missed characters are saved in local browser storage, not in a site account. They do not sync to other devices. Private browsing, clearing site data or resetting progress may remove them.

If local storage is blocked, you can still finish the current round. For a visual reminder, open the alphabet or numbers reference.
